Padel reached the Border in 2023, and Albury Wodonga has been quietly getting good at it ever since. There's one club in town, but it's a proper one: panoramic courts, a licensed bar, a free learn-to-play session and a women's tournament that's been running since 2024. Not bad for a town most people only know as the halfway stop between Sydney and Melbourne.
This is our guide to where to play padel in Albury Wodonga. We last checked these details in October 2026. Prices and hours change, so check with the club before you go.

A proposal for outdoor padel and futsal courts at Glen Park has been lodged with AlburyCity Council. If it goes ahead, the Border will have a second place to play. We'll update this guide when there's news.

A note on Albury balls
The Border gets proper seasons: hot summers and frosty winter mornings. Pressurised padel balls play faster in the heat and go dead and sluggish in the cold, and every ball loses pressure from the moment the can is opened. On outdoor courts, a fresh can makes a bigger difference here than it does in milder cities. More in how long padel balls actually last and the best padel balls in Australia.
